Charles Cary Rumsey

(American, 1879-1922)

Born into a family of modest wealth and social prominence, Rumsey attended Harvard University, the Boston Art School, and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Rumsey was certainly no stranger to the equestrian world, as he was ranked as an eight-goal polo player. His sculpture ranges from small commission pieces to massive public works.
