She has had numerous solo exhibitions in London, exhibited at The Royal Academy of Art, London and became the first woman to exhibit at The Jockey Club in Newmarket. She feels that it is vital to work from life and has travelled the world in a quest to explore the relationship between horse and man, spending time amongst the cowboys of Montana, the gauchos of Argentina and The Camargue in Southern France. For many years, Jo was artist in residence at The University of Liverpool Department of Veterinary Science where she observed closely the anatomy of the horse during operations and post mortems. She rides regularly and works in a variety of medium to express the power and the glory of the horse, in particular the Thoroughbred. Her work is widely collected throughout the world.
